"Rape Me" is written by frontman Kurt Cobain. The song was released as the second single from Nirvana's third album In Utero in 1993, packaged as a double A-side along with "All Apologies". The single reached number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was written to mock the saying of some rapists that 'they were asking for it' as Kurt in the song is literally asking to be raped.
Lyrics:
Rape me, rape me my friend Rape me, rape me again I'm not the only one I'm not the only one I'm not the only one I'm not the only one
Hate me Do it and do it again Waste me Rape me, my friend I'm not the only one I'm not the only one I'm not the only one I'm not the only one
My favorite inside source I'll kiss your open sores Appreciate your concern You're gonna stink and burn
Rape me, rape me my friend Rape me, rape me again I'm not the only one I'm not the only one I'm not the only one I'm not the only one
Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me (rape me) Rape me
