
Georg "Pat Smear" Albert Ruthenberg (born August 5, 1959), is a guitarist who was a touring member of Nirvana and a part of the original Foo Fighters line up. He left Foo Fighters after the touring in support of The Colour and The Shape. He rejoined the band years later as a touring musician and eventually Foo Fighters asked him back and they became a 5 piece for the first time.
